What is hypnotherapy?

Hypnosis is a wakeful state of focused attention and heightened suggestibility.  All hypnosis is self-hypnosis since one cannot be hypnotized against their will.  Hypnotherapists use hypnosis to access a person’s subconscious where one is highly suggestible.  Working together, we figure out what it is you desire and make the appropriate suggestions to help you achieve desired changes.

What does this really mean?

In my practice I get to speak with my clients about possibilities, dreams, desires as well as illness, unproductive emotions, dis-ease, and blocks of the spiritual, emotional and physical planes.

We talk about what is desired, how that will feel, what type of support system is in place to facilitate this change and create a plan on how to move forward.

Dr. Masaru Emoto is a famous researcher who has done some awesome work showing the consequences of different types of thought patterns.  Using high-speed photography, he photographs water crystals and how different thoughts, emotions, events, etc.  play a role in the formation of these crystals.  The pictures are astounding!  Using this same philosophy, we discuss how our thought patterns and self-talk are affecting our lives and what we are attracting.  Like the crystals, we are influenced by words, emotions and beliefs from others.  What are you telling yourself?  Are there beliefs that need to be questioned that no longer work for your highest good?   After all, our thoughts are the seeds of our existence….what are you planting in your garden?

I use a variety of therapeutic modalities to help achieve results.  The Denver School of Hypnotherapy allowed me to learn Ericksonian, NLP, Gestalt, Alchemical, Cellular Release Therapy and a whole host of different tools to help reach all different types of clients and issues.  If one technique isn’t as effective, we move on to another.

My sessions are client led.  I firmly believe that, on some level, we all know what type of healing needs to be done.  However, the process of getting there varies greatly from person to person.  I can help you get there as long as you are willing to do the work.  In the end, when you are operating from a more natural state of being, you can feel proud that it was you that did the work and made the changes.  I simply opened a few doors.
